Global AI Challenge for Civil Defence

The Global AI Challenge for Civil Defence is a programme run in collaboration with the Dubai AI Campus. The initiative will identify cutting-edge AI startups from around the globe with solutions that address three high-priority use cases. Selected startups will have the opportunity to directly collaborate with Dubai Civil Defence, one of the most innovative firefighting units in the world.

Our Challenges:

AI Challenge 1: Enhanced Analytics for Faster Emergency Response Time

Objective:

Improve efficiency in resource allocation, communication, and coordination during emergencies for faster response times.

Solution:
  • Develop an AI solution to analyse the type of emergency, exact location, and real-time availability of resources.
  • Suggest the optimal fire station location and routes for faster incident response.
  • Dashboard must be intuitive and mobile-friendly for field officers.
Judging Criteria:

AI Challenge 2: Customisable & Engaging VR Training Programs

Objective:

Develop effective training with real-life simulations for firefighters and emergency responders.

Solution:
  • Create VR training programmes with AI-generated scenarios that adapt in real-time, featuring haptic feedback suits.

  • Simulate various emergency scenarios (building fires, car accidents, hazardous material handling).
  • Provide feedback and performance analytics.
  • Support multi-user and team training.

AI Challenge 3: Prediction and Visualisation of High-Risk Areas for Fire Incidents

Objective:

Implement a proactive approach to predict fire incidents and allocate resources efficiently.

  • Develop a user-friendly heat map tool analysing historical fire data to identify future fire risks and visualise high-risk zones.
